The health impacts of alcohol and other drugs (AOD) are wide-ranging, complex and can often intersect with other aspects of physical and mental health.


Our AOD team uses data and subject matter expertise to identify and address gaps in treatment service delivery.

The Zone


The Zone is an intersectional care coordination AOD program for young people. It is delivered by the Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS) in collaboration with Odyssey House and Drummond Street Services. It focuses on individuals from African, Pasifika, or LGBTIQ+ communities.

Q Health


Q Health is a counselling and support service for LGBTIQ+ communities provided by Merri Health. It provides case management, care planning and coordination, counselling, group work, post-rehabilitation support and relapse prevention, and psychosocial support.

Life after dependency


VincentCare delivers the Reconstructing Life after Dependency program to support adults to maintain abstinence, obtain housing and re-establish community connections following residential rehabilitation.

AOD counselling and case management – CatholicCare


CatholicCare offers information and treatment support to adults from South East Asian and African diaspora.

Rainbow Recovery


Rainbow Recovery is an AOD program designed for individuals from LGBTIQ+ communities in Melbourne's inner west.


Delivered by Thorne Harbour Health, it improves health and mental wellbeing through accessible, innovative, and evidence-based care.

Connexions AOD support


Delivered by Jesuit Social Services, Connexions delivers outreach, support and advocacy to people aged 16 to 28 with co-occurring AOD and mental health needs who have disengaged from mainstream services.

Parallel Pathways


Delivered by Youth Projects’ The Living Room, Parallel Pathways is a substance misuse treatment service that provides holistic care to people experiencing AOD challenges alongside mental health and homelessness comorbidities.

Turning Point COPE program


Concurrent Treatment of PTSD and Substance Use Disorder Using Prolonged Exposure (COPE) is a statewide program for women aged 25 and over.
