NWMPHN’s catchment is one of the largest and most heavily populated in Australia. It covers 3,212 square-kilometres, extending from Melbourne’s CBD and inner city suburbs, through major growth corridors and out to rural areas beyond the metropolitan boundaries.

The region includes three of the fastest growing LGAs in the country – Wyndham, Melton and Hume – which collectively house 36 per cent of its population. By 2030, NWMPHN’s catchment area is expected to contain 2.4 million people – roughly half a million more than now.
The residents of our region collectively speak more than
200 languages.
More than
710,000 were born overseas. This includes more than
30,500
on humanitarian programs.
We acknowledge the people of the Kulin nations as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our work in the community takes place. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
